Tips to Reduce Jet Lag During Travel

We are often concerned with property values, safety, quality of schools and sometimes transportation comes in at the end of the list. The point is that transportation can have a huge impact on our time and budget. If we live far from the job or shopping, these numerous trips can add up to thousands of extra dollars spent for fuel, taxi or other public transportation in addition to thousands of hours spent on a commute.

Living near a job is not always possible. There are many factors involved in choosing the final location. One thing to consider is proximity to major roads or public transit hubs like train or bus stations and stops. Being close to these items can yield big savings in both time and money. Travel can be great fun and a good way to relax and reward ourselves after working hard on a job or any project. Because this takes us away from our normal environment (that is part of the fun) there are certain risks that arise that we should be aware of.

This applies to the entry door and any patio or exterior doors that the room may have. Even a room that is not on the ground floor can be prone to entry from the balcony.

Locking doors applies to vehicles, too. In an unfamiliar area it is conceivable that we could end up in a less than desirable part of the city during our travel by accident. Leaving doors unlocked can lead to trouble. Some theives will look for an opportunity like a stopped car at an intersection. A robber can walk up to the car, open the door and take a purse or briefcase off the seat before the driver can even unfasten their seatbelt.
